My second residency at the Wexner Center for the Arts, Ohio, USA.

Detail of still, ‘Shuffle’ (2017/18), three-channel video, 8:06min

Still 2 - Palm house

Still from ‘The Ague’ (2018), single-channel projection with 5.1 surround sound, 12:18min

I chose to complete my Videobrasil residency at the Wexner Center for the Arts over two, one-month residencies. Between 6 July and the 3 August 2018, I worked with Alexis at the Wex on reformatting ‘Shuffle’ for three-channel, as well as editing the visuals from ‘The Ague’.

Shuffle was originally commissioned by Transport for New South Wales and Cultural Capital for the Wynscreen programme, Sydney. It was developed for an LED screen at Wynyard Station Sydney that was 23 x 3m and was shot on an Arri Alexa mini in 4 and 6k. We reformatted this work to 5280 x 1080, for three-channel for my solo exhibition at TENT Rotterdam, opening this September as well as for showings in Australia.

For more information about these works, and my show at TENT Rotterdam, please see here:

Thank you again to Videobrasil and to the Wexner Center for the Arts for supporting my work through these residencies.
